Published Date: 20th June 2025
Company: Elite FF&E (a division of Elite Contract Furniture)
1. Our Commitment
Elite FF&E is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. We take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of exploitation and are committed to ensuring that our business practices promote human rights, ethical sourcing, and responsible procurement.
2. About Elite FF&E
Elite FF&E provides turnkey furniture, fittings, and equipment solutions for residential and commercial property developments across the UK. Our services span specification, procurement, warehousing, delivery, and white-glove installation. As part of Elite Contract Furniture — a family-run business with over 70 years of experience — we prioritise integrity, accountability, and responsible business conduct.
3. Our Supply Chain
We work with a wide network of suppliers and subcontractors, both in the UK and internationally, including:
Furniture and joinery manufacturers
Soft furnishing and fabric producers
Logistics and warehousing providers
Site installation contractors and freelance installers
We recognise that certain areas of our supply chain, especially those involving overseas production or labour-intensive manufacturing, may carry a higher risk of modern slavery or exploitation.
4. Due Diligence & Risk Management
To identify and mitigate modern slavery risks, we:
Conduct supplier vetting and onboarding checks
Prioritise UK-based and accredited suppliers where possible
Require key suppliers to confirm compliance with labour laws and modern slavery legislation
Maintain close relationships with long-term partners to ensure transparency
5. Policies & Practices
We have in place the following policies relevant to combating modern slavery:
Ethical Sourcing Policy – outlining standards for supplier conduct and transparency
Code of Conduct – setting out expectations for staff, contractors, and partners
Whistleblowing Policy – enabling employees or third parties to report concerns in confidence
These policies are reviewed annually to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
6. Training & Awareness
While our business is relatively small, we ensure that relevant staff involved in procurement, project management, and supplier liaison are aware of the risks of modern slavery and how to spot warning signs. Training is refreshed periodically as the business grows.
7. Future Steps
Over the next 12 months, we aim to:
Formalise our supplier assessment process with ethical sourcing questionnaires
Introduce written compliance confirmations from all new suppliers
Monitor industry guidance to stay informed of best practices
8. Approval
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to the financial year ending 2026. It has been approved by the directors of Elite Contract Furniture and applies to all divisions, including Elite FF&E.
